At the end of last week’s episode, Rick and company were standing at the gates of Alexandria. Rick was still apprehensive about bringing his family in there, though he was able to hear the sounds of children laughing and playing.

At the end of last week’s episode we were introduced to a new character, Aaron, who seemed to know quite a bit about the group. Needless to say, Rick wasn’t going to mess around figuring out what Aaron’s true intentions were in tonight’s episode, The Distance.
Loss is a constant threat on The Walking Dead. Rick’s group has had their fair share of losses, but the deaths of Beth and Tyreese back-to-back have shaken the group to their core, especially Maggie, Daryl and Sasha. “Them” begins to scratch the surface to show us how they’re dealing with it.
It’s only been a couple months since the mid-season finale, but it feels like ages have gone by. The Walking Dead returned with one of the most beautifully shot episodes of the series. We also bid farewell to yet another character that’s been around for some time.

Death and rebirth were the running themes through tonight’s episode, Consumed. We catch up with Daryl and Carol as they go after the people that took Beth. We know based on the last couple episodes neither character would bite the dust, but that didn’t stop the tension from being there at times.

After her whereabouts being unknown for quite a while, we find out what happened to Beth. We also meet a group of survivors not so different from Rick’s group except in a few creepy ways.
After last week’s shocking end, we weren’t sure what would become of Bob. Gareth knows where the group is hiding, and they seemed intent on hunting them down one by one. Rick’s reign of brutality continues, and the group is threatened to split again.
