In Los Angeles in 1970, drug-fueled detective Larry “Doc” Sportello investigates the disappearance of a former girlfriend. Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Torro, Katherine Waterson and Reese Witherspoon. The film premieres at NYFF on October 4 and will start its limited theatrical run on December 12.
