As Fantastic Fest announces its final wave of programming, we are also treated to the first trailer for remake/sequel The Town That Dreaded Sundown. From first time director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, the horror flick brings back the hooded killer of the original to hunt down a new set of victims. A full synopsis from Blumhouse Productions follows:

Based on a terrifying true story, The Town That Dreaded Sundown picks up sixty-five years after a masked serial killer terrorized the small town of Texarkana, when the “moonlight murders” begin again. Is it a copycat or something even more sinister? A lonely high school girl, with dark secrets of her own, may be the key to catching the murderer.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown stars Addison Timlin, Gary Cole, and Spencer Treat Clark and is set for its world premiere at this year’s Fantastic Fest.
