Excluding Guardians of the Galaxy, the last time Vin Diesel starred in a movie that wasn’t a sequel was in 2008 with Babylon A.D. It’s an understandable career choice. Vin has been very vocal about wanting to spend more time with his family, and with the amount of record-breaking money the Fast and Furious movies have made it’s not like he’s not in a rush to get more jobs, which is what makes his next movie so interesting.
Synopsis:
An immortal witch hunter is tasked with the job of coming between the covens of New York City and their goal to destroy humanity by way of a horrific plague. In order to accomplish this he must partner up with a beautiful female witch, something that he thought he would never do.
The Last Witch Hunter was written by Priest scribe Cory Goodman and Dracula Untold duo Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Directed by Breck Eisner (The Crazies, Sahara), the film also costars Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood and Michael Caine. It is set for an October 23 release.
