In honor of the famed crooner’s birthday, the trailer for Elvis and Nixon has been revealed. Directed by Liza Johnson based on a script from Joey Sagal, Hanala Sagal and Cary Elwes, the film tells the story behind the photo of the most requested photograph in the National Archives.
The film stars Kevin Spacey as Nixon and Michael Shannon as Elvis, but the fascinating ensemble doesn’t end there. The film also features Colin Hanks, Evan Peters, Alex Pettyfer, Johnny Knoxville, Tracy Letts, Tate Donovan and Ashley Benson. Amazon Studios acquired the film in June following its Canes debut and has set a release for April 2016.
