Sleepy Hollow, Season 2, Episode 11, “The Akeda”

Things moved forward! Ichabod loves motorbikes! So many things! Watching this show still feels slightly like I’m banging my head against a wall as the plot runs itself in circles, but it was slightly more tolerable this week. Ichabod and Abbie found the sword that can kill Moloch last week, but surprise, any man who takes a soul with the sword loses his own soul. Small setback, but yet, wait, quick solution! Irving’s soul has already been claimed by Henry, it can’t be double claimed, so, our heroes track down Irving without trouble, he agrees to take down Moloch, Abraham gives up Moloch’s whereabouts, but warns them they don’t have time. They track down Hawley who gives them his arsenal of ancient weapons which Katrina enchants.

Henry’s daddy issues reach a fevered pitch as he reminisces on Moloch finding him in his “new birth place,” ew. Katrina and Ichabod have some serious marital issues, including but not limited to Ichabod thinking she’s still in love with a headless demon. Irving… dies? Nah, probably not, and Henry turns on Moloch when he learns that his real parents DO love him, not a surprise at all. So, Moloch’s dead, purgatory is closed, and the show is… over, or can turn into a cute romcom where a witch and a headless horseman try to make it in the big wide world.

Forever wishing I could be Rose Byrne in Damages, and will always be grateful for Liz Lemon, who taught men and women everywhere that when you have greasy pizza hands, socks serve as a great alternative to napkins.
