By this point, virtually every trailer attached to The Force Awakens has debuted online, and perhaps the most exciting of all is our first look at Star Trek Beyond. J.J. Abrams’ directorial commitments to Star Wars led to him being replaced by Justin Lin, though Abrams still serves as producer for the film.
Not much is known in the way of plot yet, but the trailer does provide an epic mix of humor, action and impending doom set to “Sabotage” by the Beastie Boys, a song that was also featured prominently in the first film. All the familiar faces return, with Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella serving as new cast additions. Star Trek Beyond opens July 22.
