My good friend, Adrian over at Auditoire, has been kind enough to invite me to take part in a blogathon campaign to raise awareness about Japan and Japanese Cinema. The even is entitled Heart of Japanese Cinema, and it will be taking place from April 10th to the 16th. Film in Japan traces back as far as the begins of cinema itself and with filmmakers including Yasujiro Ozu, Akira Kurosawa, and Hiroshi Teshigahara it is hard, if not down-right impossible, to find a country with a more rich and influential cinematic history. Please join me as well as many others in celebrating Japanese Cinema. To join, please email Adrian at [email protected]
