“How can the same sh*t happen to the same guy twice?” That’s what John McClane said back in 1990, but that could certainly apply to Mac and Kelly Radner. Last time we saw them in 2014’s Neighbors, a frat headed by Zac Efron had moved in next door. This time its a sorority headed by Chloe Grace Mortez. And just when they wanted to sell their house too!
Neighbors wound up making over $270 million off its $18 million budget, with its sequel announced while it was still in theaters. Nicholas Stoller is returning to direct, bringing with him the familiar faces of Seth Rogen, Rose Bryne, Zac Efron, Ike Barinholtz, Lisa Kudrow and Hannibal Buress. Vanessa Hudgens appears to have a brief rose and it’s exciting to see Kersey Clemons of Dope and Transparent fame to keep up showing up places.
Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising opens May 20, 2016.
