Trailer: Nocturnal Animals

Seven years after his A Single Man was met with positive critical acclaim, Tom Ford returns to the big screen with Nocturnal Animals. Based off the book “Tony and Susan” by Austin Wright, the film features a dynamite cast featuring the likes of Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Isla Fisher, Armie Hammer, Karl Glusman, Andrea Riseborough, Laura Linney, and Michael Sheen.

Adams plays an art gallery owner who receives a copy of her ex-husband’s latest book, which seems to parallel aspects of their now-defunct relationship. As she reads, she is drawn into the fictional life of Tony Hastings, a math professor whose family vacation turns violent.

Most recently screening at TIFF and the Venice Film Festival, where it was awarded the 2016 Grand Jury Prize, the film is poised to enter the year’s Oscar conversation. Nocturnal Animals opens in limited release November 18, rolling out in additional cities before ultimately seeing a wide release December 9.

I never knew how movies could make your imagination soar until I saw "Star Wars," I never realized how inspiring they could be until I saw "Rocky," and I never truly appreciated film until I saw "Goodfellas." Film has been a central part of my life as long as I can remember and it continues to mold who I am. My " movies to watch" list is miles longer than my "movies I have watched" list. My only regret is not having enough time to watch them all.
